MORE than140 young people took part in Avon and Somerset Police's children’s commissioner’s takeover day on November 20.
Young people from ten schools across Somerset, including Chilton Trinity school, Robert Blake Science College, Haygrove School and Bridgwater College Academy took on the top police jobs.
During the day, participants were put into decision-making positions like Chief Inspector, while others stepped into roles in intelligence, operations, custody, local policing and the Police and Crime Commissioner’s team.
The aim of the takeover day was to give young people an insight into the world of work.
