Another year of Bridgwater Carnival is done and dusted.

With around 150,000 people estimated to have attended this year's celebrations, it couldn't have been more successful.

Publicity officer, Dave Stokes, is delightedwith the array of entries and huge crowd of spectators.

"During the 11 years I have been the publicity officer for Bridgwater Carnival, I have used many adjectives and analogies to describe the mesmerising entries which makes our town’s annual Guy Fawkes carnival so truly special," he said.

"After watching the standard, innovation and creativity of all of the entries at Bridgwater Carnival 2015, superlatives do not exist in the English language to describe how spectacular they are.

"Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival would not exist if it wasn’t for the entries, and we must all pay tribute and thank them for putting on such a wonderful show again for the town this year. "

"Every year people say the standards just can’t get any better, and every year the carnival clubs and walking masqueraders prove us all wrong by pushing the boundaries of excellence that one step further.

"Their continuous improvement ethos should be both admired and applauded, as it is undoubtedly one of the main factors is helping to fuel our belief right around the country, and increasingly the world, that Bridgwater Carnival is an event never to be missed.

"As a result Bridgwater Carnival 2015 attracted a massive crowd, and spectators travelled near and far to be see for themselves what all of the talk was about and whether Bridgwater Carnival could live up to its reputation of being one of the biggest and best events in England.

"And I am sure they were not disappointed- Infact it exceeded all of our expectations.

"The interest in our carnival certainly continues to grow, and one indicator of this was during the carnival weekend celebrations the phrase Bridgwater Carnival was trending on Facebook, knocking the new Christmas John Lewis advert into second position.

"Like the entries, we as a committee are always looking at ways of making the Bridgwater Carnival experience better every year, and if you attended Bridgwater Carnival 2015 we would love to hear your feedback about what you thought.

"We have a short online survey on our official website inviting people to share their thoughts of Bridgwater Carnival 2015, and for taking the time to give us your feedback, we will enter you into a prize draw where you could win one of five official Bridgwater Carnival 2015 souvenir DVDs which are on offer."
