EXCITED year six pupils from The Levels Academy Trust schools have returned from a series of day trips to Buckingham Palace.
Hambridge Primary, Middlezoy Primary and Othery Village School visited the palace gardens in London to work with artists and authors
The pupil from Middlezoy and Othery schools created their own landscape drawings inspired by the Buckingham Palace Gardens whilst pupils from Hambridge Primary worked with published authors to hone their creative writing skills.
They also looked at paintings and works of art on display in the State Rooms, to inspire their written work.
Headteacher of Middlezoy and Othery schools, Mrs Helen Ormerod, said: "It was a real privilege to sit on the lawn of Buckingham Palace and use the gardens as inspiration for creating their own landscape drawings.
"It is a visit that the pupils will remember forever and has inspired some excellent work back at school."
