STUDENTS at Haygrove School celebrated European Day of Languages with a speed date style session.
Those taking part swapped words in different languages and learnt about a language they had never encountered before.
Welsh-speaking Mofi-Fagbohun and Spanish-speaking Lisseth Ring taught new words to everyone and Mohammed Waleed made sure that no-one left his station without being able to speak a few words of Bengali.
To encourage students to discover her native language, Czech-speaker, Natalie Bojkova put some traditional treats out on her table too and it seemed to work, she was kept busy throughout the lunchtime session.
