A BRIDGWATER estate agent will be swapping the office for the open road when he takes on a 54-mile bike ride later this month to raise funds for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Mark Franklin, who works at Tamlyns Estate Agents in High Street, will be cycling from from Watchet Harbour to West Bay in Dorset in the 5th Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance’s Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge 2015.
Speaking to the Mercury, Mark said: “I am an enthusiastic cyclist, both on and off the road, and whilst I have, so far, been fortunate enough not to require the air ambulance, I am very keen to promote the invaluable service they provide.
“Being completely funded by charitable donations, they need in excess of £2 million a year to remain operational.
“This equates to approximately £2,500 a mission.
“Tamlyns is one of the event’s sponsors and I am personally hoping to raise as much money as I can via my just giving page, which is: https://www.justgiving.com/Mark-Franklin4/."
