THE rain stayed away as thousands lined the streets for this evening's North Petherton Carnival.
The wet weather which had threatened to dampen proceedings never materialised leaving people to enjoy a parade to remember.
More than 100 entrants thrilled the crowd that had turned out to line the route for the 65th North Petherton Carnival.
