THOUSANDS of pounds were raised by the big flooding fundraiser concert featuring The Wurzels at The Palace nightclub in Bridgwater.
The final total donated was £5,767.49 which was split evenly between the Somerset Community Foundation flood relief fund and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution’s flood relief fund.
Pam Wills from Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution was on hand to receive the cheque from the staff at The Palace.
Clive Lilley, who runs The Palace nightclub, said: “We would also like to thank Jan and Brian of Rich’s Cider Farm for donating two barrels of their cider, which was sold with 100% of the takings going to the charity.”
