BRIDGWATER Arts Centre’s in-house writer, Sinéad Gillespie, will hold the first in a new BACTalk series celebrating local stories and people.

The talks are inspired by TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design), a not-for-profit video-talk initiative with the strapline: ‘ideas worth spreading’.

Gillespie had her first novel, but i love you, published in October – a “sexy, warm and challenging” story of two women falling for each other amid the highs and lows of human relationships in Brighton.

She will speak on ‘Hard-work, determination and creating your own luck’ – for Sinéad, they’re the magic ingredients.

Sinéad’s talk will take place on Friday, January 31.

There’s no admission charge for the talk as part of the Arts Centre’s ‘Free January’.
