FILM night returns to Bridgwater Arts Centre which will screen one local film followed by the main feature each month.

On April 19, the club, run in association with registered charity the Engine Room, is showing Woody Allen’s latest classic, To Rome With Love.

Starring the likes of Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Ellen Page and Woody Allen himself, the film is a follow-up to Woody’s Oscar-winning Midnight in Paris.

The kaleidoscopic comedy follows the lives of some of the residents and visitors to Rome and their romances, adventures and predicaments.

The film brings us into contact with a well-known American architect reliving his youth, an average middle-class man who suddenly finds himself Rome’s biggest celebrity, a young provincial couple drawn into separate romantic encounters and an American opera director endeavouring to put a singing mortician on stage.

The film has been praised for its sense of catering gaiety and farcical fun. All screenings benefit from a relaxed atmosphere and audience members can bring in their own food and drink. Tickets cost £6 – for more information visit www.bridgwaterartscentre.co.uk
