SCB T20 Under-19s Knockout Cup
Bridgwater Red Sox U-19s 155-6 beat Timsbury U-19s 144-6 by 11 runs

BRIDGWATER Cricket Club’s Under-19s are celebrating after winning the T20 Cup at the Parks on Sunday.

Batting first, the hosts lost two early wickets but accelerated to 96-4 at the halfway stage, with Will Moyse striking six 4s and two 6s in his 25-ball 47.

Bridgwater were 103-5 when he departed, but Archie Marsh (32) helped the score up to 155-6 by the end of their 20 overs.

Harrison Buller took two early wickets but Timsbury gained the upper hand as Miles Hackett and Jessie Bishop each struck half-centuries.

Due to the rules of the competition both had to retire on 50, which proved to be the turning point as Buller took three late scalps to end with 5-23.

Timsbury needed 17 from the last over but fell 11 runs short, giving Bridgwater the silverware.
