IT was another hectic week in the Uxella Sunday League.

On Wednesday night, Division 1 side Tiger Old Boys beat Highburn 5-2 as Chris Taylor and Jake Adey scored twice with one for Jack Winter. Tony Oliver replied for Highburn with an own goal.

Two Kurt Brown goals and one from Tom Neale were enough to give New Foresters a 3-2 win over Blake Old Boys.

Maltshovel and Red Tile fought out a 3-3 draw as Dean Organ, Chris Singleton and Jordan Meaker netted for Shovel while Carl Tucker, Sam Godfrey and Sam Walker scored for Tile.

In Division 2, Cornhill won 4-3 at Knowle Dynamos. Mark Passmore netted twice along with Cameron Robilliard and Nathan Criddle for Cornhill while for Knowle, Pete Boot scored twice with Aaron Hardwidge.

Ian Bellinger scored twice, Nick Keirle, Nigel Cornell, Lee Oparowski, Steven Eley all added one in Tiger Old Boys Reserves’ 6-1 win over Rhode Lane Wanderers. Josh Champion netted a brace in Puriton’s 2-1 win over Huntspill Crowns for whom Dan Bastow scored.

Lee White scored twice in Flag Old Boys 5-1 win over ROF while Willow Green and North Petherton played out a 1-1 draw.

On Friday night, Tiger Old Boys drew 1-1 with Maltshovel and there were two second division matches as Will Pope helped Cornhillto a 1-0 win over Ramblers and Scott Hawkins, Dan Long and Rob Woolley gave Puriton a 3-0 win over Cobblestones.

On Sunday, Red Tile beat Middlezoy Amicus 5- 3, despite a hat-trick from Nathan Barnard, Cobblestones won 5-2 at home to North Petherton, Flag Old Boys claimed a 4-3 win over ROF, Huntspill BPH drew 1-1 with Cornhill and Puriton lost 6-1 to Willow Green.

In cup action on Sunday, Tiger Old Boys beat Grasshoppers 6-5 after extra time in their Dave Hobbs Cup quarter- final. Blake won 5-4 on penalties against Maltshovel while Pawlett Rebels beat Abbey Moor 5-1.

l TIGER Old Boys Reserves beat Knowle Dynamos 3-0 to be crowned the Geoff Harvey Cup winners.
