It’s been a week for forget for Middlezoy Rovers as they suffered a second straight cup defeat, this time in extra time against Sticker AFC.
After losing 7-1 to Bridport last weekend, Zoy shipped another seven goals in defeat to Wellington in the Premier Cup in mindweek.
Ahead of the fixture at home to Sticket AFC in the Walter C Parson League Cup, Zoy made three changes to the starting XI as injuries and unavailability took hold.
Ollie Murray, Acey Mead and Harry Smith came into the starting XI and new signing Dan Lindsay was on the bench.
In the first half, Middlezoy Rovers would have felt happy enough, controlling the possession without really testing the visiting goalkeeper.
There were no goals in the second half either at the Ethan Berry Pavilion.
Middlezoy Rovers hearts were broken just before half time in extra time as the visitors took the lead and that’s how it stayed.
Middlezoy are back in league action on Tuesday (October 15) as they travel to Cullompton Rangers.
