Pre-season preparations continued for Bridgwater United as they entertained North Devon side Bideford at Fairfax Park.
In an eventful first half, both sides headed into the break goalless, with the only action of note a substitution on 43 minutes when Fran Souza was taken off injured and replaced by Jack Taylor.
After another substitution early in the second half, which saw Josh Pitt replaced by Sully McKenna, it was Bridgwater who had an attempt on goal on 50 minutes which won the home side a corner. From the resulting corner, Freddie Hayden had a chance in front of goal which went wide.
Another attempt by Fin Koppa went over the bar and then on 54 minutes Bridgwater were awarded a penalty which Jack Taylor stepped up to take only to see it saved.
A second penalty was awarded with 10 minutes to go, this time Freddie Hayden found the net.
Line up: Croft, Hoppa, Pruba, Armstrong, Farhins, Brown, Fo, Hopwood, Hayden, Souza, Pitt. Subs: Taylor, Hurd, Newman, Jenkins, Wilson, McKenna, Chambers
