SUNDAY'S Pro Shop Stableford at Enmore Park Golf Club was won by Ben Powell with 39 points, one ahead of Rob Chilcott, while Matthew Newstead was third with 35.

Week five of the Tuesday Summer League saw Daniel Foy triumph with 21 points.

However, two players returned with 20 points but, after count back, it was Tony Brooks who edged into second place ahead of Andrew Holcombe.

The Ladies Edney Cup 2024 was won by Eileen Chave with 35 points after count back put her in front of Nanette Moore who returned to the clubhouse with the same score. Ruth McLennan was third with 34 points.

The Ladies 9 Hole Individual Stableford on Wednesday was won by Christine Pashley with 13 points, one ahead of Carolyn Blackwood, who was two clear of Hazel Percy in third place.

Enmore Seniors hosted their counterparts from Exeter last week and were given a good start by Paul Henson who recorded a halved game, followed by Keith Norcutt and Peter Sherry winning 2 and 1.

However, the wheels rather came off as the visitors won the next four games to record an overall match score of 1.5 Enmore to 4.5 Exeter. Tim Smith won the nearest the pin competition.

The Exeter golfers all thoroughly enjoyed the course and loved how peaceful Enmore was with plenty of wildlife.

They also were very complimentary about how hard Alice had worked throughout the day and her super front of house skills.

It all added up to a great day. Well done everyone, this is what a day's golf is all about.

A Mixed Team from Enmore travelled to play against match The Mendip Golf Club where a great day was had by all parties.

The weather was sunny with just a light breeze and the views were stunning and to top it all the company and food were good.

Unfortunately, the visitors lost six and halved one match. However, most groups were giving 6 or 7 shots which made it quite challenging!

Enmore Ladies hosted Taunton and Pickeridge in the Wessex League on what turned out to be a very cold day.

The course was in fabulous condition, which earned a lot of praise from the T&P ladies .

The match was played in a really good spirit but sadly the visitors were the better team on the day and won 14 -2 points! The meal was very much enjoyed by all.
