Division One South West: Exeter City 5-0 Bridgwater United
BRIDGWATER United Women were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at the weekend away from home against league leaders Exeter City.
The hosts ran in five goals as they kept their place atop the FA Women's National League Division One South West.
For Bridgwater, they drop to sixth place in the league with two games left to play.
In the match, Exeter were on top early on and by half time had built up a three goal lead and were in full control.
Bridgwater did create some chances themselves, and that continued in the second period as they looked to bounce back.
However the Exeter side were level to the threat and kept the momentum in their favour as they ran in two more goals to finish 5-0 up.
Bridgwater United Women's final two games of the season are both away from home starting with a trip to Portishead Town on Wednesday, April 24.
Their final league game of the season is away from home at Keynsham Town on Sunday, May 5.
