Division One South West: Bridgwater United 3-0 Southampton Women

BRIDGWATER United Women extended their unbeaten run to five games after they picked up a 3-0 win on Easter Sunday.

In the match in the FA Women's National League Division One South West, Bridgwater were too good for Southampton Women.

Playing at home, Bridgwater were in control from start to finish in truth as they were able to play some free flowing attacking football.

Ellie Bishop opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as she finished from close range after a drive from Fi Barry forced the keeper to parry the ball in the box.

Then on 32 minutes, Ellie Bell scored the second of the afternoon for Bridgwater as the hosts were very clinical in front of goal.

And it was 3-0 before half time as Chloe Snook converted a penalty on 42 minutes to wrap up a very strong half of football.

In the second period, Bridgwater were able to keep Southampton from creating many real scoring opportunities and saw out the win.
