TAUNTON Town Football Club had a very active National League transfer deadline day as they brought in three new signings.

One of which was Bridgwater United's star winger Jay Murray who has joined the Peacocks on a dual-registration contract.

Murray can operate in the midfield, on the wing or further up the pitch and he has signed from Bridgwater United on dual registration forms.

He signed for Bridgwater in September 2023 after having spent two seasons at Weston-super-Mare where he was a member of the squad that won promotion to the National League South.

He was previously at Western League Clevedon Town for two years, having gained earlier experience at several other clubs including Odd Down and Hengrove Athletic.

As well as Murray, Taunton also signed former Bridgwater goalkeeper Jake Viney to provide extra cover in goal.

Speaking about the deadline day additions, Taunton Town head of football Rob Dray said: "Even though Jay is young, he comes with good experience while Jake gives us great cover and experience, and all players will be invaluable in the run-in.”
