Division One South West: Southampton Women 2-3 Bridgwater United
BRIDGWATER United Women earned a vital three points at the weekend in their match away from home against Southampton Women.
It was an end-to-end battle in the FA Women's National League Division One South West and it finished 2-3 in favour of Bridgwater.
The result sees Bridgwater move to seventh place in the league table while Southampton Women drop into the relegation places.
In other news at the club, the women's academy has been further mixing with the first team in recent weeks.
Earlier this month the U16s were invited to train with the Bridgwater United Women first team and from all reports put in a great effort.
A spokesperson said: "Very exciting opportunity for the U16s to showcase what they can do but also to work with current first team staff and players."
Up next for Bridgwater United Women is a home match against AFC Bournemouth on Sunday, March 3. Kick off is 2pm at Fairfax Park.
