THERE was just three matches in the Bridgwater Sunday League at the weekend but there was, as always, plenty of goals to report.

Starting out with league leaders Spirit FC who were held to a draw at home by third placed New Foresters in a match that ended 2-2.

Tyne Govier and Jack Taylor were the goal scorers for the home side in the match while Tom Walford scored twice for New Foresters.

Elsewhere, Bridgwater Wolves earned a very big win away from home against Highbridge Warriors. That match finished 7-1 in favour of the Wolves.

Finally, Puriton and Highburn Athletic played out a 1-1 draw in their match that was very closely fought.

At halftime Highburn were in front but in the second half the hosts Puriton pulled a goal back and probably deserved the draw.
