Division One South West: Bridgwater United 1-1 Keynsham Town

BRIDGWATER United Women picked up a point in a score draw at the weekend against Keynsham Town at Fairfax Park.

The match in the FA Women's National League Division One South West finished 1-1 as both sides created chances throughout the match.

It was a deserved point for either side and it leaves Bridgwater in seventh place in the table with Keynsham in sixth.

All in all the hosts probably did enough to earn a win but they will be happy to take a point from this tough opponent.

What was exciting was young academy prospect, Sophie Blake signed for the first team earlier in the week and made her senior team debut in the match.

The 16-year-old held her own on the ball and looked to fit in well within the senior team setup and style of play.

Up next for Bridgwater is an away trip to Maidenhead United on Sunday, February 11.
