Wembdon 251-7 50.0 Overs def. Taunton St Andrews 175 AO 42.5 Overs
WEMBDON played host to Taunton St Andrews this weekend, in what would be a thrilling conclusion to their league campaign.
With the home side seemingly having 3rd place in their grasp, it was a great opportunity to play with some freedom and impress their supporters at The Green.
Everett and Gliddon were the opening pair for Wembdon, and they looked lively from the get-go.
But Daniel Bingham top scored for the hosts in the innings with 64 runs.
Him and Dean Jacklin breezed past the 200 mark, ending the innings with a partnership of 78, and a total of 251-7.
In reply, Taunton St Andrews struggled to really get going and James Baker took three wickets to help his Wembdon side win.
All in all, this was a great final performance from Wembdon, who were energetic in the field throughout the 2nd innings, and exciting to watch with the bat.
