Bridgwater CC 150 / All out (37.5) lost to Bristol CC 154 / 1 (30)
BRIDGWATER Cricket Club First XI suffered a nine-wicket defeat at the weekend at home to Bristol CC.
The match in the WEPL Premier Division was a difficult one for Bridgwater as the visitors impressed with ball in hand.
Bridgwater won the toss and chose to bat first in what looked ideal conditions.
The home side made a slow start and in truth struggled to gain momentum in the innings as a whole.
Charlie Sharland was a shining light in the batting innings as he scored 74 runs off 88 balls.
But all in all a target of 150 was not enough to defend against a strong side in Bristol.
It took just three batters to chase down the target set as Miles Kantolinna scored 37, Nic Halstead Cleak hit 72 not out and Archie Fellowes hit 34 not out.
