NORTH Petherton CC continued their recent strong form with a 97-run victory over North Perrott at the weekend.
The match in the WEPL Somerset earned North Petherton 20 league points and takes them to fifth place in the league table.
After winning the toss, North Perrott chose to field first and the home side would go on to set the target at 245 for 8 after 50 overs.
The strong batting performance was dominated by opening bat Mondli Khumalo who top scored with 81 runs.
There was also strong performances from Tom Lott (41 runs) and Lewis Irish (25 runs).
In reply, North Perrott struggled to gather momentum as they were all out for just 148 runs in 41 overs.
Farran Gregory led the bowling attack with three wickets for 25 runs in a ten over spell.
Up next for North Petherton is a home match against likely league winners Wellington CC on Saturday.
