Bridgwater United Women 2-2 Marine Academy Plymouth
BRIDGWATER United Women earned a draw at home in their final pre-season friendly at the weekend against Marine Academy Plymouth.
The final score was 2-2 in the match at Fairfax Park, but the Robins had to claw back the deficit twice after going behind on two occasions.
It was a good outing nonetheless for the Bridgwater side but disappointing not to get the win over a team who play football at a lower level.
Marine Academy Plymouth started the brightest as they went ahead early on, however the Robins pulled a goal back to level the tie.
The visitors went ahead once again in the second period but fatigue set in for them and they conceded the equaliser in the last 10 minutes.
Bridgwater United Women kick off their league campaign this weekend at home against Exeter City.
The match in the Division One South West of the FA Women's National League kicks off at 2pm at Fairfax Park.
