BRIDGWATER United Women had their first pre-season friendly at home at the weekend as they hosted Liskeard Athletic.
Come the end of the 90 minutes, Bridgwater won 4-3, but they had to mount a fightback after being down 1-2 at the half time interval.
A number of players were rotated throughout the match to get match fitness levels back up ahead of the upcoming campaign.
All in all it was a good result and some positives signs were there from all the players.
There has been an outgoing within the playing group as midfielder Nicky Potts has departed and signed for Rugby Borough Women FC.
In other news at the club, there is a Girls Football Trial day on Sunday, July 29.
The club has said: "We are hosting an open trial for U14s, U15s and U16s to be part of the highest level women’s football club in Somerset!
