Bridgwater United 0-1 London Bees

BRIDGWATER United Women are still stuck in a relegation place after defeat at the weekend at home.

They were narrowly beaten by one goal against the London Bees at Fairfax Park and sit in 11th place in the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division.

With one game remaining, away against London Bees, the Bridgwater side need to win and are relying on Plymouth to lose their match in order to steer clear of the drop.

In this match, both sides had chances to score and it was the hosts who started the better.

Ffion Lewellyn and Ellie Sara both had chances in front of goal early in proceedings however to no avail.

In the 36th minute though, the Bees found space behind Bridgwater's defence and snuck in for a goal.

It was a deflating moment for Bridgwater and try as they might in the second half, the Bees shut up shop to hold them at bay.

When the final whistle went after 90 minutes it was a tough moment. Bridgwater truly did have a good go at it in the second period.

Their final league game of the season is on Sunday April 30 at The Hive in London. As already mentioned, it is a must win game for the Robins.
