Spirit FC ended the unbeaten run of Bower - who went into this match in fine form - with a 5-4 thrilling victory.

However, West Bower just couldn't live with Spirit from start to finish, and it could have been more goals.

Sam Chillingworth scored twice for Spirit, with goals also coming from Gary Roper, Ian Bellinger and Andy Cloes.

There were two goals that were special - one from lan Bellinger, a 25-yard lob over the keeper, then a strike from 35 yards by Sam Chillingworth, that put the icing on the cake.

Bower wanted to go through the season unbeaten, but they just did not have an idea how to win the game.

This was on the back of a draw last week so, to quote a Queen song, another one bites the dust.

That is Spirit's season finished and what a way to finish the campaign. They also had plenty of support on hand, and would like to thank all the fans for their backing.
