BRIDGWATER United are ready to host Brislington on Saturday at Fairfax Park and are confident of a good result.

Brislington currently sit one position higher on the table than the Robins; they are tenth and Bridgwater are eleventh.

Manager Dave Pearse said it will be a tough game but the home crowd will be a big help.

"Brislington are always a tough team to play and this weekend will be no different."

"We love playing in front of the home fans and we are hoping they can make some noise and help us over the line on Saturday," Pearse said.

In injury news, Pearse confirmed that Dave Thorne will return to the squad for the game this weekend however there are still three first team players out.

This weekend also sees the return of the Festival of Football at Fairfax Park, the first of two in October.

The weekend revolves around the mens fixture on Saturday and the womens on Sunday against Plymouth Argyle; it will be the first time Plymouth have played in Bridgwater.

Each match day will be sure to entertain the whole family with food and refreshments available, children’s activities including Fast & Furious Football.

There will also be the newly branded Kid Zone and of course Thunder The Robin will be on hand with free giveaways for all kids in attendance.
