SOMERSET cricketer Tom Banton says he is "feeling OK" despite testing positive for Covid-19.
The 22-year-old is currently overseas, competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Quetta Gladiators.
His Somerset team-mates Tom Abell and Lewis Gregory are also taking part in the competition.
Banton tweeted: "Thanks a lot for all the messages and well wishes.
"Unfortunately I received a positive Covid-19 test yesterday [Tuesday, March 2] and I am now isolating and following the PSL protocols.
"Fortunately I am feeling OK so far and I have been well looked after by the PCB [Pakistan Cricket Board] and Quetta Gladiators.
"Thanks for the support, look after yourselves and stay safe."
On Monday the match between Gladiators and Islamabad United (for whom Gregory plays) was postponed after United's Fawad Ahmed tested positive for the virus.
The PSL is scheduled to run until March 22, with Somerset's pre-season campaign starting on March 23.
Somerset's County Championship opener is on Thursday, April 8, away to Middlesex.
