BRIDGWATER Town are scheduled to play their first match since the national Covid-19 lockdown tomorrow (3pm), at home to Royal Wootton Bassett Town in the second round proper of the FA Vase.

Both teams picked up emphatic wins in the first round of the Vase, with Bridgwater thumping Welton Rovers 5-0 and Wootton Bassett beating Camelford 4-0.

Bridgwater's line-up could include new signings Jamie Wilson - a British Virgin Islands international - and French duo Medhi Bakoura and Paul Jehanno.

Fans planning to attend the match should note that there will be a maximum capacity of 300, and the clubhouse bar will not be open.

Bridgwater will not be playing any league matches for some time, however, with the Toolstation Western League announcing that it would not restart until December 18 at the earliest, following the unveiling of the new tier system across England last week.

Bridgwater Under-18s’ Gary Else Memorial Cup final against Mangotsfield United, due to be played tomorrow morning, has been postponed by the South West Counties Youth League - with a new date to be announced in due course.
