BRIDGWATER Town return to Toolstation Western League action tomorrow, with an important fixture at home to Bitton (ko 3pm).

The Robins are unbeaten in all competition since September 7, and without a league defeat since the opening day (August 3).

Tomorrow's opponents at Fairfax Park, Bitton, are currently eighth in the table - five points behind third-placed Bridgwater, albeit with a game in hand.

The Robins will be without striker Jack Taylor, who was sent off in the 2-0 win at Newport in the FA Vase last weekend.

Bridgwater co-manager Dave Pearse told the Mercury: “Jack was very apologetic afterwards and he knows he has let himself down.

“Bitton is the start of a really big week for us; we go to Westbury United next Wednesday and then play Buckland Athletic the following Saturday.

“It will be a test of character and, though of course I want nine points, if we can come away with seven we’ll have done well.”

Tomorrow's Somerset County League fixtures see Bridgwater Town Reserves travel to Staplegrove, and Middlezoy Rovers entertain Nailsea United.
