BRIDGWATER Town enjoyed a handsome win in their opening pre-season friendly on Friday night, with their second fixture taking place tonight.
The Robins entertained Honiton Town on the Bridgwater College Academy 3G, and strolled to a 6-1 victory over the South West Peninsula League side.
It only took three minutes for prolific goal-getter Jack Taylor to open the scoring, before Ryan Burrows made it 2-0.
The visitors pulled one back on the half-hour, only for Burrows to finish off a flowing move to hand the Robins a 3-1 half-time lead.
Jake Brown extended the lead on 58 minutes, and a minute later it was 5-1 as Taylor grabbed his second.
Burrows sealed his hat-trick with two minutes left on the clock, securing a 6-1 win for his side.
Tonight (ko 7.45pm) sees Bridgwater travel to play Southern League Premier side Dorchester Town, and on Friday (ko 7.45pm) the Robins entertain local rivals Taunton Town at Fairfax Park.
They then host Paulton Rovers next Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).

BRIDGWATER’S opening Western League match of the season will be away to Brislington on Saturday, August 3.
The Robins then host Cribbs on Tuesday, August 6.
This season’s Boxing Day and Good Friday matches are against Street, with Bridgwater facing Wellington on September 21 and November 30.
