WEMBDON'S cricketers could be playing in front of a bumper crowd tomorrow as The Green hosts its inaugural beer, cider and music festival.
Wembdon are hosting Yeovil in WEPL Somerset and the festival will be running around the ground during and after the action.
There is live music on Friday (from 7.30pm), Saturday (from midday) and Sunday (11am) and there will be 30 different ales and 16 live acts.
Entry is free but non-perishable items can be donated for the Bridgwater Shoebox Appeal.
To conclude a busy weekend, Sunday sees Cricket World Cup Family Day at the club, with children’s games in the morning followed by chairman's XI vs president's XI in memory of Dave Palmer.
There is cricket at The Parks on Saturday as Bridgwater 2nds host Wellington in WEPL Somerset.
Bridgwater's first team, who currently sit second in Premier 1, are on the road to Bristol to take on Bedminster.
North Petherton, sat bottom of WEPL Somerset, could do with a win as they welcome Chard, while Shapwick & Polden are looking for their first Premier 2 Bristol/Somerset win of the season as they head to Midsomer Norton.
