BRIDGWATER Town have added more firepower to their assault on next season's Toolstation Western League.

The Robins have announced that terms have been agreed with Steve Murray, for the striker for join the club for the 2019/20 season.

With 69 goals in 95 games for Wells City, 31 in 71 matches for Taunton Town and 162 in 201 games for Street, there is no doubt that he will trouble opposition defences in the Western League's Premier Division next campaign.

Added to the prolific goalscoring of Jack Taylor, the addition of Murray is a real boost to Bridgwater's hopes of improving on last season's fourth-placed finish.

Commenting on the move, Murray said: "I’m buzzing to finally sign for Bridgwater Town.

"It’s a big club that’s on the up and with the great season the lads have just completed, there’s no reason why we can’t be looking to challenge for the title in 2019/20.

"I can’t wait to get into pre season where the hard work starts, so we can hit the ground running."

Bridgwater co-manager Dave Pearse said: "Securing Steve’s commitment to sign for us is a massive coup for the club.

"He is a talented player and his goalscoring record speaks for itself.

"We identified that we needed more firepower in the squad and getting him involved will certainly bring that.

"He is a great character and will fit in well with the squad we already here."
