BRIDGWATER Victoria Park Rangers Under-12s are celebrating a very successful season.

They finished top of Division 1 in the Taunton Youth League, and also won the Under-12 Knockout Cup final, beating Wembdon 5-1 at Bishops Lydeard AFC last week.

The goalscorers were Finn Hansford, Joshua Prowse (2) and Dylan Pitcher (2), with Pitcher getting the nod as man of the match.

THERE was double cup final glory for Wembdon’s youngsters on Sunday, as the Under-13s and Under-14s lifted their respective trophies.

The Under-13s edged past Staplegrove Saints 5-4 in a nine-goal thriller, while goals from Joshua Hurford and Elliot Smith secured a 2-0 win for the Under-14s against Galmington Dragons.

Both matches were played at Taunton Town FC’s Viridor Stadium.
