South West 1 (W)
North Petherton 44, Devonport Services 26
NORTH Petherton continued their winning run and stayed in the hunt for a top four finish with victory in their final home match of the season.
Visitors Devonport started on top and went ahead through Ty Colwill's try, converted by Richard West.
Pethy hit back strongly, however, with full-back Jack Rees going over in the corner before Aiden Cotton barged over for the hosts' second.
Further tries from Dan Morgan and Greg Charlton secured the bonus point before half-time, and Charlton's second either side of a Services response gave North Petherton a 31-14 half-time lead.
The second half was a more even affair and, at one point, Pethy's lead was cut to 34-26 after two Services tries and just a Rees penalty for Pethy.
The hosts had the final word, however, with Nic Sestaret and Mike Stevens scoring late tries.
