FREE-SCORING West Bower stayed top of Division 1 with a 7-1 victory at home to Rhode Lane Wanderers on Sunday.

Greg Turner topped the scoring for Bower with two, while Jake Cutter, Ryan Kilday, Charlie Lintell and Liam Winter added the others.

Jacob Shoemark hit the Wanderers’ goals.

Second-placed Ramblers beat third-placed Huntspill Crowns 4-1 as Phil Court, Sam Facey and Owen Sellick found the net.

Red Road Rangers improved their goal difference at fellow strugglers Highburn Athletic, winning 8-0.

Three Rangers were on target - Pete Boot and Grant Purchase bagging a hat-trick apiece, while Joshua Batt added a brace.

New Foresters and Puriton will face each other in the final of the Geoff Harvey Cup.

In a very tight game at Huntspill Playing Fields, Crowns BPH took on Division 2 promotion hopefuls New Foresters and took them all the way. After the two sides ended normal play goalless, it went to penalties and it was the Foresters who edged home 6-5.

At North Petherton, the league leaders took on Puriton and it turned into a seven-goal thriller.

It was Puriton who turned out to be match-winners by the odd goal, Guy Hunt-Davison, Joe Warren, Josh Welham and Dave Williams putting their side through to the final.

For Pethy, Scott Harman, James Smith and Jack Winter found the net.

The only scheduled league game was a home walkover for Victoria Gate Albion after Woolavington were unable to raise a side.

Match of the day on Sunday will be the Dave Hobbs semi-final clash between Huntspill Crowns and New Foresters (ko 10.30am).
