BRIDGWATER Town's seven-game winning run is likely to come in for a stern examination tomorrow, as they head to Toolstation Western League title contenders Bitton (ko 3pm).

The Robins beat Shepton Mallet 4-1 last Saturday, and then saw off Calne Town 2-1 on Tuesday to reach the Les Phillips Cup semi-finals – where they will face Willand Rovers.

Currently fifth in the Premier Division standings, Bridgwater's next assignment is away to Bitton, who are in second place, four points off leaders Willand with a game in hand.

Bridgwater co-manager Dave Pearse said: “We are three points off fourth and all the top sides will be playing each other and dropping points.

“We are staying in the dark a bit but we just have to keep putting points on the board and staying in the hunt.

“Bitton will be tough on Saturday but those are the sort of games you want to be playing in.

“We still have to go to a lot of the teams above us so we can have a real say in the title race.”
