BRIDGWATER & Albion aim to secure to an eighth consecutive win when they welcome Lydney to College Way tomorrow (ko 3pm).
Albion put in arguably their best performance of the season to beat second-placed Launceston last Saturday, beating them 35-17 to lie just five points behind them.
Lydney are 10th in the South West 1 West table, but Albion's director of rugby is taking nothing for granted.
He said: "I don’t know exactly how long it is since we won seven successive games; it is something people are asking me about, but we are not focusing on it ourselves.
“As the old cliché goes, we just approach the next game on its merits.
“Sometimes it is difficult after such a good win to guard against the things we need to be wary of, so it will take another good week of preparation.”
North Petherton also had an excellent result last weekend, beating South West 1 West table-toppers Okehampton 32-29 at Beggars Brook.
Now seventh in the table, they will look to back it up tomorrow, as they make the trip to Cornwall to face St Ives, who sit two places above them.
