Haygrove School claimed two of the three Sedgemoor District Schools rugby trophies up for grabs at the recent finals.
The Year 9 and Year 11 squad met their opponents at North Petherton RFC, where the family and friends who gathered to watch were treated to two superb games.
The Year 9 contest was between Haygrove and Robert Blake Science College and, while the latter fought hard, the Haygrove boys dominated and the match ended 36-10.
The Year 11 teams that faced each other under the floodlights were old foes.
Haygrove have met Brymore on the rugby field many times over the last few years, with both sides experiencing success and defeat.
On this crucial occasion, which is likely to be the last time they meet as schoolboy rugby players, it was Haygrove who made came out on top to walk away with the coveted Sedgemoor Schools Cup.
The final score was 27-3.
The Haygrove Year 7 and Year 8 squads competed in friendly games with their Brymore (Year 7 and Year 8) and Chilton Trinity (Year 8) contemporaries, and all the players gave a glimpse of how their rugby might evolve over the coming years.
