THE talented trampolining squad from Haygrove School took part in the 2018 South West Regional Schools Trampolining Championships held in Taunton and came away with lots of trophies to add to the school cabinet.

In the team events the Year 7/8 Girls Team took first place in the Intermediate category and second place in the Novice event.

In the next age group up (Year 9/10), the girls again took the second place spot and in the older Year 11–14 bracket the Haygrove ladies performed at such a high standard that they took home the first place trophy in both the Novice and the Intermediate Category.

As individuals, two of the girls’ squad excelled with Year 11 student, Hope Jones winning first place overall in the Year 11-14 Girls Intermediate event and Year 8 student, Tegan Smith coming third in her age group’s Novice event.

The school’s only male competitor, Leighton Goodison-Smith, secured his place in the next competition by taking home the first place trophy.
