Hovelands 39, Gems 48
SYDENHAM Gems were hunting for their first win of the season and started strongly.
The defensive combination of Kerry Fellows, Beth Fella, Amy Burley and Karis Holleron put the pressure on, and the attack capitalised to take an eight-goal lead.
Hovelands started to settle, but Gems held their own and shooters Justine Pearn and Hannah Clapp fired them to victory.

Parkfield 52, Rubies 38
RUBIES started well against third-placed Parkfield, with great play from Laura Coombes setting up Tanisha Birch and Shell Jenkins.
They were three points behind at halfway, but despite good defence from Anna Jenkins and Katie Issitt, Parkfield pulled away.

Emeralds 21, Queensway 58
EMERALDS started slowly against high-flying Queensway and ended the first quarter 14-3 down.
But the Sydenham ladies began to gain ground in the second quarter, working well in slippery conditions.
There was great defence from Angel Finka, Jessie Venning and Amelia William, while Hollie Davis, Charlie Webb, Rhiannon Crabtree and Lucy Colloff battled in attack.
But they couldn’t keep up with Queensway, losing 58-21.

Jupiter 34, Saints Cornwall 84
BRIDGWATER Jupiter took to the court to play unbeaten table-toppers Saints, and despite amazing movement from Becky Hooper (GS), Jupiter lost the first quarter 18-8.
The visitors took control in the next, to lead 41-13 by half-time, but Sarah Perry (GS) and Hooper held them up in the third period.
In the final quarter, Jupiter increased the pressure and Baylea Charles (C) controlled the game.

Harlequins 41, Neptune 31
NEPTUNE had a disappointing start at Harlequins but rallied through Cath Clark and Chris Durant.
The introduction of Bex Dunn (WA) worked wonders, as Neptune cut the gap to 19-15 at half time.
The score was 32-26 going into the final quarter but Harlequins finished stronger.

Mars 48, Jesters 38
MARS took the first quarter 13-8, and kept up their strong team play with interceptions from Georgia Howe and Sophie Atyeo, while Rebecca Kennard shot accurately.
Going into the final quarter, Mars held a commanding 38-22 lead, and they safely saw it out.

Luna 24, Minstrels 25
LUNA were up against it from the off as Minstrels moved 7-2 ahead, but Gemma Malone and Rebecca Dunn led the fightback.
There was one goal in it in the final quarter, but Minstrels edged it.
