Tone 34, Saturn 29
BRIDGWATER Saturn started slowly but managed to speed up their game towards the end of the first quarter, with excellent defensive play from Lisa Lukins which enabled Saturn to keep to within two of Tone.
Great movement and shooting from Becky Hooper and Katy Cheese helped keep the score close, but Tone capitalised on every opportunity and pulled away.

Quantock 34, Neptune 28
NEPTUNE matched Quantock goal for goal in a tight first quarter which finished level.
The second quarter remained tight but the third quarter saw Quantock pull ahead.
In the final quarter Katie Harris was magnificent within the circle, continually creating space and converting her shots.
Neptune's continued effort is sure to be rewarded with a win soon, but Quantock ran out victorious this time.

Tudor 30, Venus 32
VENUS started the game strongly, as Amy Miller, Ashlea Slater and Tiffany Brice fought hard against a strong attack, the first quarter ending 10-7 to Tudor.
Venus closed the gap and Tudor were one goal ahead going into the final quarter.
Venus continued to work hard and won the quarter to seal a fine victory.

Highfield 42, Mars 16
MARS faced blustery conditions but Alicia Clapp and Becky Kennard managed to score five in the first quarter.
Highfield took control of the game and started to pull away, leading 19-9 at halfway.
Defenders Emily Smith and Amy Miller worked tirelessly with support from Ella Smith to try keep Highfield from scoring and Kate Bancroft worked hard to pass the balls into the Mars shooters.
Highfield were too strong, however, and took the victory from a tired Mars team who really put their all into every quarter.

Doves 10, Luna 43
ACCURATE shooting from Sarah Edwards and Michaela Hoppins helped Luna finish the first quarter 10 goals up.
Luna stayed dominant, finishing the third quarter 34-6 ahead, and defensive duo Rebecca Dunn and Gemma Malone continued to cause disruption to Doves' shooters enabling Luna to maintain their lead.

Sharks 37, Sapphires 40
SYDENHAM Sapphires travelled to Crewkerne for what was a tightly contested game throughout.
In the first quarter the game was goal for goal, with some great shooting from Laura and Nic putting Sapphires one up.
Sapphires stepped up their game with great feeds into the circle from Mikki and fast drives from Kerry, reaching half time with a 20-14 lead.
Carly stuck tight to her player, getting vital turnovers, and in the final quarter, tight circle defence from Sue and Emily allowed Sapphires to hold on.
