SOMERSET return to County Championship duty tomorrow, taking on Yorkshire at Headingley with their title dream still alive.

The visitors go into the match in fine form, having beaten Division 1 holders Essex in Taunton last week, and secured their place at T20 finals day with a Bank Holiday Monday victory over Nottinghamshire.

Jack Leach showed his capabilities with career-best figures of 8-85 from 48 overs against Essex, while Jamie Overton is showing more and more of the destructive pace that made the fast bowler an England hopeful before last season's injury problems.

They remain without Tim Groenewald due to a groin injury, but he is making good progress and is bowling again.

Somerset have named a 14-man squad to face Yorkshire (including Max Waller, who has been in superb form in the T20 competition): Tom Abell, Azhar Ali, Dom Bess, Eddie Byrom, Josh Davey, Steve Davies, Lewis Gregory, James Hildreth, Jack Leach, Craig Overton, Jamie Overton, Peter Trego, Marcus Trescothick, Max Waller.

Yorkshire have included Jack Brooks - who will join Somerset in November - in their 14-strong squad: Gary Ballance, Harry Brook, Jack Brooks, Matthew Fisher, Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Jack Leaning, Adam Lyth, Mat Pillans, Josh Poysden, Josh Shaw, Jonny Tattersall, James Wainman, Kane Williamson, David Willey.

Somerset sit second in the Division 1 standings, 32 points behind leaders Surrey - who are at home to Nottinghamshire this week.

Yorkshire are sixth in the table, and Somerset will be looking for a repeat of their 118-run victory over the Tykes at the Cooper Associates County Ground in April.

Matt Renshaw hit 112 for the hosts, who set Yorkshire 321 runs to win and bowled them out for 202.

Somerset picked up their first win of the 2017 season away to Yorkshire, winning by 179 runs in Scarborough.

James Hildreth posted a second-innings 101, before four wickets apiece for Leach and Craig Overton sealed the deal for Tom Abell's side.
