BRIDGWATER Town go into their fourth pre-season match this afternoon, looking to extend their unbeaten run in their friendly schedule.

Having drawn 0-0 at Exmouth Town last Friday, the Robins were 6-2 winners at Somerton on Tuesday.

They had six different goalscorers in the latter match - Jack Taylor, Mike Duffy, Harry Horton, Charlie White, Tom Ellis and Josh White all finding the net.

Then, on Thursday night, they travelled to Wells City and came away from the Athletic Ground with a 2-1 win.

After Horton had hit the crossbar, a good team move led to Mark Armstrong bending his shot past the goalkeeper and giving Bridgwater the lead midway through the first half.

But it was 1-1 at half time, as Jack Spence headed in from a corner.

That goal did not rock the Robins back on their heels, though, and after the break Jack Jenkins planted a free-kick from just outside the box into the net.

Today (Saturday, 2pm) sees Bridgwater go to Odd Down Sports Ground to take on Welton Rovers.

Their first Toolstation Western League match is on Saturday, August 4, away to Hengrove Athletic, followed by a home fixture against Buckland Athletic on Tuesday, August 7.
