Regional League 2
Neptune 32, Vipers 57

KNOWING it was their last game, Neptune started well with great passes between Aiste Mockeliunaite (WA) and Cath Clark (C) allowing amazing shooting from Flora Horrox (GS) and Katie Harris (GA), though Vipers took a slight 13-11 lead.

In the second quarter Vipers increased their lead, despite good defence and excellent interceptions in the opposition’s goal third from Katie Anthony (WD), Abbie Newton (GD) and Ashlea Slater (GK).

Izzy Innalls came on to give Neptune a boost of energy, and they carried on working hard but were unable to take the lead.

Despite Neptune players giving 100% the scoreline ended 32-57 to Vipers.

Somerset Division 2
Venus 33, Spears 42

GOOD defensive play from Chris Durant (GD) and Tiffany Brice (WD) provided valuable turnovers during the first quarter but Venus still found themselves trailing 10-6.

During the second quarter Venus, at times, found it difficult to feed the shooters but with some changes at half-time Venus were able to increase the pace with Chris Durant (C) and Elaine Bowerman (WA) successfully working together to feed the shooters Kayleigh Martin-Haste (GS) and Isobel Innalls (GA).

Going into the final quarter Venus were 10 goals behind and, even though they won the quarter, it was not enough to close the gap.

With Jazz Alexander (GD) and Andrea Martin-Haste (GK) turning the ball over in the opposition circle, the second quarter ended 13-8 to Arrows.

Mars made changes which had an immediate impact but Arrows managed to fight back.
