BRIDGWATER College students studying Level 2 and 3 Diploma Football Coaching in Community Settings were given a valuable insight into the coaching industry by three experienced professionals.

The students met Brendan Dix, founder of Pro-Coaching Justin Burke and FA skills coach Javier Gorodi to listen, share experiences, ask questions and discuss the required skills for students to develop and achieve.

Brendan Dix, new county development manager for The Somerset Football Association, said: “I am very much a local lad who grew up playing football in Somerset and I will continue to work hard to ensure football benefits in our county.”

Andy Gill, programme manager for football coaching said: “Students gained some excellent knowledge and advice during the careers day.

“All the guest speakers have achieved through hard work, experience and determination.

“If students were to take anything from the day, this would be it.

“I would like to thank Brendan Dix, Justin Burke and Javier Gorodi for visiting our students and sharing their experiences."
