WITH the GCSE exams looming ever closer, Bridgwater College Academy has instigated a Year 11 motivational programme designed to incentivise students into achieving their best grades.
The programme, which is set to run for the next eight weeks, means students will be working especially hard to earn reward points in their lessons ahead their GCSE exams.
Rheanne Lee, the academy’s head girl, won the first week’s £25 award for Key Stage 4 achievement.
Andy Sandercock, head of curriculum and standards, said: “Recognising that extra effort at this moment helps to keep the students focused for the real event in the summer.
“All of last year’s winners achieved some truly outstanding results in the summer.”
