STUDENTS have been celebrating their successes inside and outside the classroom at Robert Blake Science College in Bridgwater.
The school has recently launched a new system of rewards and merits which is proving popular with students of all ages. Staff award merits for excellent academic work and effort across a range of subjects and for being positive role models to others.
Around 5,000 new merits were awarded in the first two weeks of school, proving students are out to do their best and reap the rewards.
Children are nominated as student of the night by their tutors, and progress leader and lear er of the fortnight by individual subject teams.
Over the year they will collect their merits until they qualify for certificates and rewards, such extended break times with free cakes and drinks
