BRIDGWATER Cricket Club has added another addition to their first team squad with the signing of Matt Burton.
The 26-year-old opening bowler has joined the club after representing Hampshire Second XI and most recently Worcestershire Second XI in 2023.
Burton was born in Salisbury, Wiltshire and has also played for Wiltshire in the minor counties.
He is a fierce right arm medium bowler and has also known to score a few runs with the bat in hand as well.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Say hello to Matt Burton our newest recruit!
"The talented Opening Bowler has represented Hampshire 2nd XI and Minor Counties Squads and will now continue his development at The Parks.
"We are thrilled to welcome Matt and can't wait to see him in action."
Most recently, Burton represented Worcestershire against Somerset Second XI in September 2023 and he took five wickets in the first innings and six in the second.
